so i am trying to make some stairs that "light up" like the stairs at the ultra luxe in fallout new vegas but i cant figure out for the life of me how to make a brick wait for the other bricks color to be says blue then wait a couple of seconds and change to blue
so this is what my brain has cooked up but in the wait for the seconds script it says the = sign itself is an error and it expected something else
first script in the first "stair"
while true do
wait(3)
script.Parent.Color = Color3.new(255,255,255)
wait(3)
script.Parent.Color = Color3.new(0,14,43)
wait(1)
end
second script in the second "stair"
wait(workspace.FirstPart.Color = Color3.new(0,14,43))
script.Parent.Color = Color3.new(0,14,43)
end

use brick color
Use a for-loop on both stairs to change every part you want colored. That's also not how you use wait() on line 1 of the second code block.
alright and yeah i was experimenting with wait i even tried wait until workspace.FirstPart.Color = Color3.new(0,14,43)
You're using the wait function wrong, the correct usage is wait(x Seconds). Also might I suggest using tweens to make the color transition smoother (the latter is irrelevant to the problem though)
did you try :Random()
not wanting random
You could use a for pairs loop to iterate through the stairs inside a while loop
