If you use a free model, well it is like knowing how to pronounce the words to a Spanish song, but not knowing how to speak Spanish.
So if you could brainstorm of a way to reference how everything works, and what I should be learning before I move on to more complicated things, I would really appreciate it!

Just look up basic scripting tutorials on google or youtube, there are a few out there that are really good, and then just practice and slowly watch more and more tutorials and keep learning. Not many people know all there is to know about roblox scripting.
