I finished my script for my ScreenGui for my lobby stereo I made, and it all works well. I click the Part, it opens my GUI, I insert my ID and click "Enter" and music starts playing. But now I realized other people can't hear it. This is hopefully an easy fix and I won't have to change much scripting. PS: The game is here https://www.roblox.com/games/489635845/Regal-Theatre#
COMMUNITY QUESTION
This makes no sense. Other people can't hear my ScreenGui music?
1 answer
use remotes.
in a local script:
playbutton.MouseButton1Click:connect(function()
game.ReplicatedStorage.Music:FireServer(soundFileHere)
end)
in a server script:
game.ReplicatedStorage.Music.OnServerEvent:connect(function(player, music)
music:Play()
end)

Could we have more information? Like scripts or something?
I have a block inserted with Music, a ClickDetector, and a Script that just makes the GUI visible when you click on the ClickDetector. In StarterGUI I have my GUI for the music but it is set to not visible so you dont see it unless you click on the clickdetector. The only odd thing I have is my Music is routed from my ScreenGUI to the Music in the part (for ease I called it musicblock) Here's that
script ---> local button = script.Parent local box = button.Parent.MusicBox local music = game.Workspace.musicblock.Music
button.MouseButton1Click:Connect(function() music.SoundId = "rbxassetid://"..box.Text music:Play() end)
See, the problem is FE (you probably have it enabled), because you change it using a local script, in a client side place, it won't change for the server, only for you, easy fix? depends on how much you know about remotes, send a remote to the servers and it's done
I don't know anything about remotes, so this could be a problem, but thanks.
