COMMUNITY QUESTION

How do I create a script that disables camera movement (mousewheel, right click, etc.)?

Hey all,

As the title suggests, how would I go about doing this? It seems a little too specific for me to be able to find an existing one.

Sorry, I have nowhere else to turn. The downvotes aren't appreciated.

game.Workspace.CurrentCamera.CameraType = Enum.CameraType.Scriptable

or if you're feeling a little freaky you can try an ol'

game.Workspace.CurrentCamera.CameraType = "Scriptable"

I tried inputting both of those, but the issue with my script still persists. Basically, the gun script is forcing my camera into fullscreen, but when I use right click, the scroll wheel, I, or O, my mouse no longer is held in the center, and thus I can't move my camera unless I re-equip the tool.

I see, someone else asked a question just like this. i suspect you both use the same gun kit. Uhhh, try uhh game.Players.LocalPlayer.CameraMaxZoomDistance = 0.5

That will force first person so if they press O or I or try scroll wheel it won't do anything. then on the Unequip function just add game.Players.LocalPlayer.CameraMaxZoomDistance = 400

Still, when those inputs are entered, the mouse just does its own thing.
