I have been trying to make a lightsaber blade for a few days now but know that welds and movement via scripts do not work together well. I am trying to figure out how to get the saber blade to rise up but stay attached to the hilt/handle.

How might I maintain a weld to a tool while changing the CFrame of an object?

Maybe try changing the position of the weld itself? C0 and C1 are CFrame properties that represent the position and orientation of each part in the weld.
