Why do some people come on to this site needing help with their code, but...?

...they never post the entire code? The not posted code is usually what is wrong with it and they never post it. Then there are people that say: "Ask for the complete code if you need it!"

No duh we need the full code. Your error is probably in the code that wasn’t posted.
