How to "fix" the union?(read description)

So i have a part that i "cutted" with negative parts to give it a shape. I cleared the inside of the part and now when i putt decals on it , i can see the decals on the union AND inside the union at the opposite side. Any ideeas on how to fix this? P.S. the union is transparent and any material i use wont help.
