So I had an idea to make a game where players could buy and trade stocks. And my plan is to have multiple companies/stocks and every few minutes servers would compete to update the datastores and then other servers would verify that stocks were update within in a reasonable range, so as to prevent hacking. You could compare this to a blockchain system like bitcoin. So for the competing part, every few minutes each server would wait a random amount of time and the one with the shortest wait time would set a datastore which was its own place id. This would let other servers know that a server won the right to update the stocks. Then it would use some random calculations and update all the stocks. From here it would set this as a datastore via setasync, but then a few of the other servers would check the changes to approve they were within a limited range. I was wondering if anyone has done something like this before and what system they used(not asking for scripts) and if this wouldn't break the datastore limits?
