I have this code:
game.Players.PlayerAdded:connect(function(player)
player.CharacterAdded:connect(function(character)
character.Humanoid.Running:connect(function(speed)
character.Humanoid.WalkSpeed = speed + 1
print(speed)
end)
end)
end)
Very simply, it makes the user increase his walkspeed by 1 each time the Running event is trigerred.
I have tried simply walking forward to start walking faster and it works, except that after just a second, this whole process freezes and speed stops at speed= 22. Then when I jump, this freeze is broken and I can hit 27. Then frozen again. Then jump and freeze is broken.
My question is how can I overcome this freeze pattern?

Actually, the .Running event only happens once when you're running, it doesn't fire continuously

@anphy04 in my example, it is trigerred plenty of times as I have explained- press&hold forward key once and triggers at least 5 times and I want this to trigger more.
@Denny9876 thanks but as I understand, even if the problem described is similar to mine, in your link the solution is to limit the 5 tries to one try; I want mine to keep going to much further than 5 tries. I am asking for the opposite of debounce.
