I'm working on setting up a Group, but I need a Promotion Course for it. I'm completely new to Scripting so I have no idea of how to make a script that promotes someone to a certain rank when they touch a part. If anyone could tell me how or link a video or something that tells how to do this, it'd be much appreciated.

You cannot do this easily. You show lack of ability to script this. You would need to setup an external system to handle this. You cannot make requests to roblox servers from roblox. (I believe roblox once got ddosed by its own servers). If I were you I would setup something with node.js.

There is no official way to promote a user in a group from a place. You would need to use the HTTP service.
