Why wont this script to turn off collisions in this model work?

Trying to make this Union not have collisions but it still does. What do I do?

game.Players.PlayerAdded:Connect(function(player)
	if player:IsInGroup(3897722) then
		script.Parent.CanCollide = false
	end
end)

Only fires when a player's in the group joined the server. :|

Try seperating the union and making every single part collidable. No different values.

Like GingeyLol said, it does work. I hope you realize that localscripts don't work inside the workspace. They only work in tools, anywhere in the player service, and the replicated storage I think. Now, theres an easy fix to your issue.

Make the below a localscript. For this example, I don't know the name of your part so we will just do workspace.part.

game.Players.PlayerAdded:Connect(function(player)
    if player:IsInGroup(3897722) then
		workspace.Part.CanCollide = false
    end
end)

Make sure the above is in the StarterGui or StarterCharacterScripts.

It does work.

scripts Parent is the union, Normal Script, You have to be in the group, Make sure that ID is correct, ANCHOR the part. Whats most likely happening is that you are making the part a union after which destroys the part so you have to insert the script into the part/union after
