how to stop a moving platform with bodyforce?
I have a moving platform. the body force of it is 50. i want it to stop so i make the bodyforce 0. it keeps going the same exact momentum. the only way i could counter this is if i made it -50, but then it will eventually move backwards. is there any way to just stop it from moving?

I think BodyForce adds force to something but doesn't SET a force to something, which is probably why the BodyForce doesn't do anything when you set it to 0.
You can fix this easily by anchoring the platform. It'll completely freeze and only move again once you un-anchor it.
