I have a custom model (a simple test dog) with a HumanoidRootPart bound to a Torso via a Motor6D and the Torso bound to the head via a Motor6D. I believe that setup is fine. I put the following code in a Script inside the dog model.

local doganimController = Instance.new("AnimationController") local doganimation = Instance.new("Animation") doganimation.AnimationId = "http://www.roblox.com/Asset?ID=1300837989"

local doganimTrack = game.Workspace.Dog.doganimController:LoadAnimation(doganimation) doganimTrack:Play()

wait (1)

I don't have an animation object or an animation controller in the dog model. I was hoping the animation would replay every second but I'm getting no results. I know this is pretty advanced but hopefully Im on the right track.

You need to rig every single body part, but you are really close.

Yea I had to add an AnimationController to the model and I wasn't binding the parts properly. Everything works now, thanks.
