COMMUNITY QUESTION

Status is not a valid member of Part R6 to R15 scripting, what is causing this issue?

Hello, one of my friends gave me a bunch of his scripts to use for a game & running it in R15 causes the server log to throw out that error and stops all the other scripts in my game from running. (It was originally coded for R6, however I thought changing which player parts are read would be easy enough to do, obviously I was wrong.)

I've been looking over the scripts and I can't seem to figure out how to solve the issue, perhaps it is a little too advanced for me? I mainly don't understand which piece of code is throwing out the error and why it is doing so. Here are the scripts;

Setup:

return function()
	_G.replicatedStorage		= game:GetService("ReplicatedStorage")
	_G.serverStorage			= game:GetService("ServerStorage")
	_G.serverScriptService		= game:GetService("ServerScriptService")
	_G.players					= game:GetService("Players")
	_G.debris					= game:GetService("Debris")
	_G.lighting					= game:GetService("Lighting")
	_G.chat						= game:GetService("Chat")
	_G.soundService				= game:GetService("SoundService")
	_G.runService				= game:GetService("RunService")
	_G.insertService			= game:GetService("InsertService")
	_G.marketplaceService		= game:GetService("MarketplaceService")

	_G.resources				= _G.replicatedStorage.Resources
	_G.server					= _G.serverScriptService.Server

	_G.items					= {}

	_G.serverModules			= _G.server.Modules
	_G.storage					= _G.server.Storage
	_G.remotes					= _G.resources.Remotes
	_G.resourcesModules			= _G.resources.Modules
	_G.objects					= _G.resources.Objects

	_G.world					= workspace.World
	_G.characters				= _G.world.Characters
	_G.items					= _G.world.Items
	_G.operables				= _G.world.Operables
	_G.residues					= _G.world.Residues
	_G.mouseFilter				= _G.world.MouseFilter
	_G.zones					= _G.mouseFilter.Zones

	_G.status					= require(_G.serverModules.Status)
	_G.client					= require(_G.serverModules.Client)
	_G.item						= require(_G.serverModules.Item)
	_G.operable					= require(_G.serverModules.Operable)
	_G.tween					= require(_G.resourcesModules.Tween)
	_G.stats					= require(_G.resourcesModules.Stats)
	_G.misc						= require(_G.resourcesModules.Misc)

	coroutine.wrap(_G.client.start)()
	coroutine.wrap(_G.operable.start)()
end

Main:

require(script.Parent.Modules.Setup)()

Since the console says it is throwing the error at line 42, I assume it has something to do with the Operable script, so I will put that here too:

the code is actually too long to put in a question, so I put it in a pastebin here: https://pastebin.com/ecFbQZ8M

If you can help, thank you!

jeepers, this is a long code. I'll tell you one thing though, more often than not, a script with compatability problems on R15 usually just references a "Torso" part instead of "UpperTorso."

Yeah I've already been looking through all the scripts and have changed the Torso parts to UpperTorso but it still gives me that error.

I suggest you not use _G. I already tried that in pretty simple scripts, and didn't really work...

Could be the problem...

I need to use _G so that all the other scripts I am using can call the functions they need. I am also fairly positive that it isn't the issue.

for that, you should use a module script instead of _G. I THINK that's the problem because everything there seems ok...
