Would it be possible to open player's backpack?

Hello

So I'm trying the best I can not to make this into a request, so I ask not to give me the script for it. Just answer the question.

All I want to know if it's possible to make code open your backpack. If it is possible, I can do more digging online, but if not, please tell me so I won't waste my time.

Thanks.

I don't think it's possible to open the default roblox backpack with a script, as it is part of the CoreGui which cannot be edited.

The only way to change CoreGuis is with SetCoreGuiEnabled, which you can use to hide and show the whole backpack along with the toolbar, but not to open up their backpack inventory.

Your best bet is probably to make your own inventory system which you can manipulate however you like.

It is possible to do just about anything using scripts, you're only limited by your own understanding of the language. You can find the contents of something using the GetChildren() function. Here's its wiki page: http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=API:Class/Instance/GetChildren

GetChildren will return a table of the items containing within whatever you used the function on. This means that you could find, say the first item of the table or a specific item within the table using the following.

WhatYouWantToOpen:GetChildren()[1]
WhatYouWantToOpen:GetChildren()["NameOfSpecificItem"]

I believe that they are asking if it is possible to force the Backpack UI open from a script.
