Is Torso/Humanoidrootpart required for a humanoid?

I've recently tried to make a humanoid but with only a Head and a torso.

The only thing is that it wont take any damage while using a random sword script.

So i'm asking this, is torso or humanoidrootpart required for a humanoid to take damage?

Thanks for the help.

Depends on your sword script. Like I said 4 times, we are scripting helpers, not mind reading scripting helpers.

Yes, it is required you have a Head, Torso, and HumanoidRootPart in order for a Humanoid to work.

^ Also, you should have tested this yourself before asking this question.

A head is necessary, too, afaik.

Yeah, its a requirement. Anytime you're messing with a Humanoid, it needs a Head, Torso, and HumanoidRootPart to function correctly.
