Where do I start with in-game furniture decorating?

Hey I'm Spielblox, my friend told me about this site and this is my first question.

[info] So I'm working on a neat hangout game where you build your own custom rooms and decorate them to your liking. I plan to add a marketplace and many things later on.

[question] However I don't know where to start on scripting a furniture decorating game. I am a very noobish scripter and I was just wondering if anyone could give me some pointers. Thanks :)
