Hello,
So I have some small bricks in a model and I would like them to have a twinkling star effects. Is there any way to do that? I would like them to twinkle at random and maybe fade in and out.
Thanks,
Anthony

Hello, Antux
Yes you can do that, you can create a ParticleEmitter inside the small bricks in the model.
Open Explorer>Insert Object>Particle Emitter. Then open Properties, then you have an option to change it's Texture, so paste the twinkling star inside the id and it should work. You can also change how it moves, the size, offset, transparency and more. Hope this helps!

You can accomplish things like twinkling effects using Particle Emitters:

As for fading in and out, I would recommend a script inside the brick that runs on a loop, adjusting the transparency, giving the effect of fading. An example:
-- This script is a direct child of the brick
local brick = script.Parent
local timeBetweenFades = 5
local fadeTime = 10
local opaque = true
while wait(timeBetweenFades) do
for i=0,fadeTime,wait() do
brick.Transparency = opaque and (fadeTime - i)/fadeTime or (fadeTime - (fadeTime - i))/fadeTime
wait()
end
brick.Transparency = opaque and 0 or 1
opaque = not opaque
end
Feel free to adjust the fadeTime and timeBetweenFades variables to fit your needs. Hope this helped!
