Why do I have to put () at the end of my function name and other things too?

They're just going to stay empty so what's it for? Is it so I can maybe put like a wait in there or something?

Like when you type:

function greenTest() game.Workspace.Baseplate.BrickColor = BrickColor.new("Forest green") end

Than when you use it you have to type the () at the end of the name like this:

greentest()

You can put arguments in them. For example

function KillPlayer(player)
player.Humanoid.Health = 0
end

KillPlayer(game.Workspace.Player1)
