how would you make a message appear letter by letter?

I mean sort of like in daxters paintball where every letter appears and waits like .2 seconds then the next one appears

Use a for loop, and the # operator to get the length of the string. Then you can use string.sub to format the string properly.

str = "Hello world!"

for i = 1,#str do
	print(string.sub(str,1,i))
	wait(.2)
end
