I'm a decent scripter, not a crazy super skilled one, however recently I have been intrigued about sword trails. I've seen them in a few games, yet when I tried finding any examples or really anything on the subject I only found posts about people saying they had managed to make a sword trail. I'm just looking for a point in the right direction since I am unable to figure out where I should start looking to manage to do this.

To use sword trails I recommend using the new feature called "trails" there simple and don't require much scripting
your going to start by adding 2 attachments to your sword one on the top one of the bottom idk play around with it. Then add a trail your can customise it like particle emitter then whenever the swords is slashed enabled it then disable it. If you don't do that it will keep doing trails hope i helped D:
