I need help as I have no idea how to script.
What kind of level of scripting do you need to make an RPG?

To a vague question we can only offer vague, speculative answers.
How do you measure a level of scripting? 'Scripting' is a broad term that encapsulates algorithmic thinking, familiarity with a language, knowledge of the ROBLOX API, experience with good architectural patterns and programming style, etc... there is no precise way to rank someone's brain by its scripting power.
What is an RPG? Is it simply a fanciful world where players pretend to occupy various roles in a virtual society, or is it a vast, quest-based adventure with A.I. enemies, crafting, customisable character profiles, magical powers, animals, PvP duels, a simulated economy, and global leaderboards?
The best we can do is say "Start at the beginning!"
You can make a fun, quirky RPG to play with your friends in a few weeks if you study hard.
You can make a clever, innovate RPG with good replay-value in a few months if you persevere.
You can make a radical, cutting edge, eye-melting, heart-thumping multiplayer universe when you master not only Lua and ROBLOX, but marketing, mathematics, design, networking, animation, modelling, problem solving, etc...
There are a ton of tutorials on the Official ROBLOX Wiki, plus guides on this website, and a huge community (both here and on the ROBLOX forums) who will help you along as you get started.
If you are wishing to make a very good one with animations, sounds, etc.. From a scale of 1-3 based off of scripting level, I would say about a 2-2.5
Hello Weahhh,
You can honestly take the advice of duckwit. But this really depends on what kind of RPG would you like to make. Will this be a Anime, Medieval or maybe something else?
There can be a thousand anwsers on that question, but if we are talking about a scripting based question, please take the advice of duckwit. If you are talking about a game based question, then please anwser the question I asked before.
I hope to have informed you, and give you as much options possible, if this helped please like this anwser. If it is not understandable or did not give a anwser to your question, do not hesitate to leave a comment on this.

I'm in the process of learning Lua and I'm doing so by creating an RPG. What I'm getting at is, making a game can be a great way to learn how to script. If you're determined enough you can do the same thing.
