How can I allow everyone on the server to see changes?

Hello, I recently enabled filtering and there has been no end to problems. One of the things that broke was my gui, that selects and colours certain parts. A fix I found was to just put it in a local script. This seemed to work then I realised that other people cannot see them. The changed are only visible for the Local Player that uses that script. If I post the selector here I hope someone can point out how I can make this work with filtering enabled and allow every player to see the changes.

This is the script that selects a part from a list.

local Target = script.Parent.Parent.Parent.Target
local TextStroke = script.Parent.TextStrokeTransparency

script.Parent.MouseButton1Down:connect(function()
	if TextStroke == 1 then
		TextStroke = 0
		Target.Value = script.Parent.Name
	elseif TextStroke == 0 then
		TextStroke = 1
		Target.Value = ""
	end

end)

Target.Changed:connect(function()
	if  Target.Value ~= script.Parent.Name then
		TextStroke = 1
	end
end)

Read up on http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=FilteringEnabled It will help you understand FilteringEnabled and u might find a fix to all that problems because they are pretty common when you don't understand FilteringEnabled fully.

The script will need to be a ServerScript and run in game.ServerScriptService. You can use RemoteEvents and RemoteRunctions to assist you with this. These should be located in ReplicatedStorage or ReplicatedFirst. You will need a LocalScript to trigger the function or event.

If this does help, please press the ^ button and accept the answer, if it doesn't please tell me in this answer's comments and I'll try to fix my answer.

Alright so I do need to use Remote Events for this one. I tried making one before for something and got told I was going in the wrong direction
