How can i script and make a realistic basketball shooting experience ?

Hi im new to making basketball scripts. I'd like to script where i can make realistic basketball, and i can shoot realisticlly with controls and such .. my issue is im clueless and have no idea where to begin. Im not understanding how to script based off the idea i have in my head. I dont want people to do it for me. I just would like to be taught.. Can anyone break it down for me , so its easy to understand ?

There are many concepts in programming and it isn't possible to explain all of them in an easy way unless you already have some experience with the basics. For example, the basketball idea that you're describing will use concepts from physics, mathematics, the ROBLOX API, some algorithms, data structures, and other aspects of the Lua scripting language.

You can't jump straight from knowing nothing to creating a realistic basketball simulation, but if you start with the basics and continue learning with patience you'll get there!
