COMMUNITY QUESTION

My frame animation using decals looks chunky. Could someone change the script so it looks smooth?

From this awful script you can tell , I don't know how to script. when I say chunky I mean that there's one decal, and when it switches, for a split second there's nothing on the block, and this looks terrible. If you are willing to help , I would be grateful.

Im pretty sure its not your fault that nothing appears on screen for a bit, its how roblox works. There will be a delay for practically all decals, unless you change the method completely (such as putting all the decals on the block then changing their image transparency to 0, then to 1 despite this being ineffective and time consuming) I think you will need to bare with the delays. I posted this

in comments because I am not 100% certain welp

ok, thanks I know what the problem is. I have to put a bunch of decals over top of eachother and then maximize or minimize their transparancy. Only problem is I still don't know how to script it. Thanks though.

script.Parent.Decal.Transparency

Let's say the decals are named with numbers, 1-60.

for decalNum=0, 60, 1 do
	script.Parent[decalNum].Transparency = 0
	if script.Parent:FindFirstChild(decalNum-1) then
		script.Parent[decalNum-1].Transparency = 1
	end
	wait(.3)
end

Haven't tested it, but this is the kind of thing you want to do.

EDIT: Updated to make it even smoother.
