I don't really know what the benefits of Soundscape are, but one of the things I don't like about playing in Workspace is that new players can't hear it.
Does using Soundscape fix this issue?
COMMUNITY QUESTION
Should I play music in Workspace or Soundscape?

I'm not sure you can even play sounds in SoundScape. That service is simply for properties such as Reverb. Workspace is fine. I am not sure why you think new players don't hear sounds because it works fine for me.

I would personally play sounds/music from the Workspace. You can read more about it here: http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=API:Class/SoundService&redirect=no
