How can I save a value that isn't a leaderstat?

I've been doing research on how to save a value, and all I have currently found this wikipost but I don't want to save it as a leaderstat. I may just be missing something super obvious, but I'd like a link to either a wiki page or maybe a good youtube video for this topic (I want to learn for myself, else I probably wont remember for future scripting)

Thanks in advance!

Save it as an int/string and load it back into the leaderstats.

Data persistence is the old method of saving data and is now depricated we all should be using a data store, http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Data_store

I see you want to bring a value back whenever you want and you want that does not connected to a player. You need to use DataStore. You can save variants like ints, doubles, strings, tables, bools, Color3s, Vector3s, UDim2s etc. Do not forget, you cannot save objects. Parts, WedgeParts, UnionOperations, BodyGyros, BodyForces, Hats or anything else which is Object is example you can't save, but you can save its properties like its color, its position, its size, its transparency etc to bring it back.

I want to be more helpful, so check these out: DataStore Help Wiki Class/GlobalDataStore

If you need help, let me know. You can PM me from roblox anytime you want.

Thanks, I'll definitely look into this. I just typed in "ROBLOX Value Saving" and only data persistence really showed up.
