Easy way to auto morph your character?

Im making a game where your an elf, and I need to be able to easily switch out the player's character with a default. You can select hats for your character, too/

My instinct was to look at the many morphs in the Toolbox, but the ones I found were very outdated and had terribly long scripts, switching out each and every part of the body. Is there a way to just set a model as the players character?

thanks

Unless you don't want animations, you're going to need to morph every part of the body.

There is a very easy way to automatically set the player's character to a default model, and that is through the StarterPlayer service. You just name the model "StarterCharacter" and throw it under the StarterPlayer folder in the explorer and it will use that model as you character when you spawn in the game.

If you are looking for a way to change your character mid-game, that turns out to be quite easy as well. You can directly set the player's Character property to any model you want.

Note that if you want proper functionality from the core-scripts make sure that your model follows the same structure as the default characters do (Such that it is welded together with motors, has a humanoid object, has the required bodyparts, etc).
