This is not really a question, but I did not find anyone talking about this "bug", so I thought I should report this here:

When signing up, you are supposed to put the custom code ScriptingHelpers into your personal description so it can verify your identity. However, it explicitly says "Do not provide any details that can be used to identify you outside ROBLOX.".

Problem: When adding the code into an empty profile, it actually detects an identification attempt and replaces it with a whole bunch of "######", making it impossible to identify.

Work around: For now, the simple work around is to place the code in between some random other strings, it will not replace it, and ScriptingHelpers can verify your identity.

Long-term solution: Try a less exploitable approach for identification, talk to the Roblox security team about a different solution, or just provide normal Oauth with Google, Twitter, FB et al, and decouple the accounts here from the Roblox accounts?

Once you put the word in your desc, and scriptinghelpers authorizes it, you just remove it. No-one is going to care about you putting the word into your desc

@NinjoOnline The problem is that Roblox won't let you do this anymore unconditionally (they replace the code with "#####" filler, if they identify it), and it is against their policy. I just wasted 10 minutes not being able to sign up, almost decided to give up, until I tried one more thing (hiding the code in other text).
