I want to make an image, and well i heard that there is a limit to how many frames you can have in a GUI. I want to verify if this is true, and if it is, how many can you have per GUI?
Is There A Limit To How Many Frames You Can Have?

This is not true.
Have as many frames as you wish.

Maybe at ~1 million it'll start to lag, but eh, Infinite is possible.
Depends on the client's computer, really.
A youtuber said he was making an image but it was turning out only half way finished, he then played around with the size of the image and found out there was a limit to how many Frames can be in a GUI. But this was in 2015.

Oh, you mean pixels? That's something you could test, but I'm unsure.
Yes, if you make a GUI with a CanvasSize as Vector2(300,300) then you would have an "image" of 300 by 300, adding frames to this GUI (and setting the size of said frame to UDim2(0,1,0,1) ) would be a pixel.
Yes, there is a finite limit. I don't know what it specifically is, but I've dealt with it before. You can see it for yourself by converting an image into a Roblox model and inserting it using a program I made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVKOzHdd1m4
You will still be able to "add" frames after the limit, but they will appear invisible.
EDIT: So I've finished trying to compile a 720x720 image and as you can see, it stopped displaying after a certain number of frames: https://i.gyazo.com/6546af9bba07df9f701193c0d175e110.png

I estimate (this is by eye measurement, so not so accurate) that the height of the image stopped at ~180, since you said the image is 720x720, that would mean that the total frames in the image would be ~129,600. I guess i'll have to keep it under 120K Frames just to be sure. Math wasn't always my strong suite, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. :) Great work by the way in turning an image to a
model. I would have never thought of that. :)

I do not believe there is - if there is, it would be a very high number. I would assume there would be no limit - and that you will know if you have too many by crashing. Like I said, though, it would a LOT of frames to crash you. You also may want to be using an ImageLabel or ImageButton instead of manually making an image.
It's certainly possible to make images with these, as there was once an exploit that was using this to create dirty images.
I completely agree with you, but i want to be able to send (kid friendly)images to my games dynamically without the images having to go through a process. I have thought about using an imageLabel but that image has to be either uploaded to Roblox (which you have to wait until it approved to use) or the player has to have the files locally to see the image in-game.
