How does HttpService's GetAsync and PostAsync works?

I can't find a good clear answer to how HttpService actually works.

What does it actually do that makes it so when you run h/url in script builders it only returns the code of the script you put in their servers? Does it go through all the code and find all the text that will actually appear in the browser and just have that be what it returns?

And for PostAsync does it just include the information you want to send to the server in the link or is it sent some other way?

Anytime you use the :GetAsync() for HttpService it returns the source code for the page. When you use pastebin like in voidacity's skid builder you are getting the raw code for the pastebin (i.e., This Instead of this ). The raw version only shows the text that was in the pastebin (in this case the roblox code). So that allows you to just grab the code instead of grabbing all of the other things used in html.

For PostAsync() it sends the data in the url just like any website does when submitting information to a page to save it in a server or use it on the page you are redirected to.

I hope this helped, I know it was pretty bad. xD If you are still confused feel free to ask any more questions. (I know there will probably be some. I'm pretty back at explaining things. )

So it removes all the html tags and only shows the text that will appear on the page? The raw still has html tags used in it, I'm not sure why it's ok with those tags but not the unraw's tags.

Because you can crop out text from a string or match for things, so you can match for the text after the html tag. That way it will get the code used for the script.
