Why does my script not work? Error:8: bad argument #3 to 'BrickColor'

So, I have a script where, a floor, with 64 plates, has 4 layers. the outter layer changes color, then the next layer does, and then the next one, and it keeps looping around. Here's my script:

local outter = game.Workspace.outter:GetChildren()
local second = game.Workspace.second:GetChildren()
local third = game.Workspace.third:GetChildren()
local last = game.Workspace.last:GetChildren()

while true do
	for i,v in pairs(outter) do
		v.BrickColor = BrickColor.Red
		wait(1)
		v.BrickColor = BrickColor.Black
		end

	for b,n in pairs(second) do
		n.BrickColor = BrickColor.Red
		wait(1)
		n.BrickColor = BrickColor.Black
	    end

	for h,j in pairs(third) do
		j.BrickColor = BrickColor.Red
		wait(1)
		j.BrickColor = BrickColor.Black
	    end

	for o,p in pairs(last) do
		p.BrickColor = BrickColor.Red
		wait(1)
		p.BrickColor = BrickColor.Black

	end
	wait(1)
	end

But, the problem is, output gives me an error, and nothing works: Workspace.disco:8: bad argument #3 to 'BrickColor' (BrickColor expected, got function)

All help is appreciated!

You got the error because you used invalid syntax. v.BrickColor = BrickColor.Red() will not error.
