I know, I've posted this before, but I think the people who answered misunderstood me or maybe I misunderstood them. What I want is the studio name of a hat. For example, I'm wearing a "midnight commando", but in studio it shows up as "Snow ninja". How do I know the name of the hat without owning it, entering game, and checking it's name through player model. A detailed explanation would be great!

I'm not sure exactly if this is the best method, but it seems to work.
- First, go to the catalog page of the item you want find the in-game name of.
- Next, copy the ID from the address bar.
- Then go to the following address in your browser:
roblox.com/asset/?id=<id of item>, replacing<id of item>with the ID. - Your browser will then ask to download a file; open this file in something like Notepad, and you * should see some XML. Look for the tag that is something like
<Item class="Hat" referent="...">. - Somewhere below that, you will see another tag which looks like this:
<string name="Name">SomeName</string>, where SomeName is the name of the hat.
It does seem a bit hacky, but it works.

Well, I did everything, and I found the part where it says "" but there is no string name. Does this work for all hats, or just some?
It works so far for non limited items. I guess it doesn't work for limited items?
