I have already have the death counter, but I want the death counter display above the player's head, so they can see how many deaths they have, they can make it visible or not how many times they wish.
Just in case, here's my death counter script:
print("LinkedLeaderboard script version 5.00 loaded")
stands = {}
CTF_mode = false
function onHumanoidDied(humanoid, player)
local stats = player:findFirstChild("leaderstats")
if stats ~= nil then
local deaths = stats:findFirstChild("Deaths") --change the name to deaths, wipeouts, ect.
--HAS TO MATCH THE BOTTOM \/
deaths.Value = deaths.Value + 1
local killer = getKillerOfHumanoidIfStillInGame(humanoid)
handleKillCount(humanoid, player)
end
end
function onPlayerRespawn(property, player)
if property == "Character" and player.Character ~= nil then
local humanoid = player.Character.Humanoid
local p = player
local h = humanoid
humanoid.Died:connect(function() onHumanoidDied(h, p) end )
end
end
function getKillerOfHumanoidIfStillInGame(humanoid)
local tag = humanoid:findFirstChild("creator")
if tag ~= nil then
local killer = tag.Value
if killer.Parent ~= nil then
return killer
end
end
return nil
end
function handleKillCount(humanoid, player)
local killer = getKillerOfHumanoidIfStillInGame(humanoid)
if killer ~= nil then
local stats = killer:findFirstChild("leaderstats")
if stats ~= nil then
local kills = stats:findFirstChild("KOs")
if killer ~= player then
kills.Value = kills.Value + 1
else
kills.Value = kills.Value - 1
end
end
end
end

So you can do all of this, but you request a death counter? Simply make a billboard gui over the players head with a text label and have it updated everytime they die. Make sure to throw it back on their head whenever they die.
Looks like a script you got from free models or something.
@wfv Do I look like a script Jesus? @Nathan How does one do that? ;o
