Why are 0.1x0.4x0.1 bricks crashing my game here?

Hey!

So at the moment I have, in workspace, a model called "MiniTiles". This has 100 models inside it, called "l" following by their corresponding number of 1-100 (to represent 100 lines). Each line has 125 bricks in, and they are all side by side, to make a nice 100x125 rectangle.

At the moment I have a 100x125 rectangle of 8x1x8 bricks, which I can move back and forth from serverstorage with just a minor spike of lag, maybe a second or so.

However, with the mini tiles of 0.1x0.4x0.1 size each, the whole studio ends up crashing.. Why is this? It doesn't seem logical, that smaller bricks cause more lag, especially considering it's the same amount of bricks?

Some advice on this would be great, or a workaround. Thanks! :)

Note: I plan on having 8 of these 100x125 squares in my workspace (of 0.1x0.4x0.1), so not being able to have 1 is probably just the start of these issues.

I don't think 0.1 dimensions are possible on bricks. The lowest is 0.2, and any smaller requires mesh trickery.

Hmm, guess no one taught you what unions were. Let me explain, a union is a massive part, but is one piece, easy to load. BUT.. in unions you cannot: have different brick colors ,have different material ,have children in bricks ,select them individually with scripts , or make transparent

With models it has to load this, that, and everything!!! In script, it does not matter the size, shape, color, or anything! Just matters the quantity. If you want some children IN the union then sure, go ahead.

Now we discussed unions, lets jump in how to make them! First, on the top of the screen click "Model". Then select all the items and click Union. There! Hope this helps!

I did know about unions but when I thought about them they were not what I needed, as I need to edit the individual bricks.

But because of this suggestion I've thought of another method around it, thanks :)
