Hi. I need help i'm making a murderer game and so far i scripted the lobby function but the problem is that i don't know that if i should be using a LocalScript or Script because I need all the players to teleport in a specific map when the game starts and I'm not sure what script is the best? I have it on localscript now. But If its a miskate tell me.

#My opinion You should always use a Server Script when doing server side operations such as teleporting all characters. Not because the script is made for that but because the game won't error at all. Local scripts are only for local operations such as local parts or changing guis that only they can see.
#Other analogy Like I said in an earlier answer, think about LocalScripts and ServerScripts as an email. When you send an email your email message gets sent to the Server. The server sends the server to the receiving side and on your side it says that they have received the email. How is this like a ServerScript? You send the email, that would be like an event or function. The server or the server script does the changes. Now let's just say this is a local script. Then in this situation the LocalScript would be like if you were to use your computer without an internet. You can't use the email but you can do other personal changes like change your background wallpaper, but you cannot connect to the server or other computer users.

@Link150, it's only considered a duplicate if THEY asked the question twice. Not someone else. But I do agree that it was the user's fault for not doing his research.
I've been on Q&A websites before, I know how this works; and this, my friend, is a duplicate.
I'd just like to point out, SH search is really bad, and probably wouldn't give any similar/valid results..
I easily found three similar questions using the search bar. And even if I didn't, this is why I left a link to the similar question. I'm not mad or anything, duplicate questions should be closed anyway.
