what is the best known method to change a part's rotation, and assuming that I know how lookVector works, if a part's rotation is changed does that mean the lookVector will also change with it? I have been writing some code right now I don't really think I need to post, and I'm wondering the best methods for working with CFrame like this (what I'm imagining is a brick continuously having its direction changed, and then proceeding to move in that changed direction)

The best method to change a part's rotation using CFrame is very controversial. However, the two most accepted methods to do this are by using the CFrame.Angles() function and the CFrame.fromAxisAngle() function.
You can find those two constructors on the Wiki page CFrame data-type page
Scroll down to the Constructors section to see them; however, I recommend reading the entire page.
Here are some additional pages that might help you understand how these work:
And about lookVector; I do believe it changes, although I could be wrong.
