If you put a LocalScript in StarterGui with the following code:
print(v.Name.." started running.")
wait(1)
print("Going to set the Script's Parent to nil.")
script.Parent = nil
print("I can still run code!") -- If you try this in F6 mode it will still run, if you do this in F7 mode it won't, why?!??
Wiki says the following VVV
A LocalScript will only run Lua code if it is a descendant of one of the following objects:
- A Player's Backpack, such as a child of a Tool.
- A Player's Character model.
- A Player's PlayerGui.
- A Player's PlayerScripts.
- The ReplicatedFirst service.
We set the Parent of LocalScript to nil, but yet it keeps running in F6 mode.
So my question is why does the last print in the codeblock does print when you test it in F6 mode, and why won't it print when you test it in F7 mode?
