Can you temporarily disable bubble chat in-game?

I like having bubble chat for one part of gameplay, but I'd love to have it removed at all times other than said part. Can I toggle it in-game via scripts, or would I have to create my own bubble chat, and toggle that instead?

To be honest, I don't really think you can do this. Probably the only way is to use custom bubble chats, which I think wouldn't be TOO hard.
