So I'm creating a city type game, and I would like to have a feature where users can buy a house/apartment, and be able to customize it with furniture, etc.

I would like to have it where there is a GUI with items. You click on an item, and a grid will appear to place them. You can rotate, etc. Only the owner of the house/apartment can place, remove, edit furniture.
I have know idea where to even start! Help anyone?
