It depends completely on what is most comfortable and natural to you. The way I organize my DataStore may be comepletly different than someone else's and yet they both will still work great.
In my opinion, JSON is probably the easiest way to take lots of datastoring variables and pack it into one string. You can read more about it here: http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=JSON
If I did it in a list would that be the best way?
