I have a script I've been trying to use, but it wont even resize the head of the player. I can get it to work if I do it manually with the properties tab, but I don't know the actual protocol to script it. When I do resize it manually the hats will fall off, and I'm not sure if it is automatically solved when you script it or not. I'm trying to resize the player's head for a war game so the sniper's head shot hit box will be smaller.
How to automatically resize a player's head without the hats falling off?

You need to weld the hat(s) to the player's head and then adjust the mesh size of the player's head so that it doesn't look like a tiny head on a humanoid. Here's an article on the ROBLOX Wiki.

Welding will essentially make the hats stick to the part. This was made as an alternative to anchoring a part, which would in turn lock the user in place all because of the hats (in your case). I'm almost certain that all hats use a part and a custom mesh within said part, so you simply take the part that has the mesh inside of it and weld it to the users head.
After doing that, your hat(s) will stick to the head. However, resizing the head might adjust the position of the hat as well, so you can experiment by using these position configurations for the hat; shown in this screenshot below.
After following that step, you will finally need to adjust the mesh that the head is using. As in, adjusting the size of the mesh. This is very simple, as all you need to do is mess around with the following properties shown in this screenshot.
And if you really need to, you can adjust the offset.
One final thing, If you haven't noticed yet: This website isn't for requests!! Try putting at least a block of code which shows your effort, and ask questions that are relevant to said code. Usually you'll get a response from a more experienced programmer stating the best method of approaching this or maybe a fixation of your current script.
--[[Make sure you use the code blocks and not simply pasting in the code to your text-box. This gets on the communities nerves at times.

Anyhow, that's all I can really help you with. Good luck!
