Good place to start scripting?

There are quite a few places where you can learn to script in Roblox Lua.

Youtube

Youtube is a great place to get detailed tutorials and visual examples of how to do stuff. A good channel to start with this and one I'd recommend is PeasFactory.

Roblox Wiki

The Roblox wiki gives you all of the information you could possibly need on different scripting methods. From teaching the very basics to some quite in-depth explanations. You can't really go wrong with the Wiki, expecially if you want to find out more information about a Service or Method you'd be using in a script (such as Vector3 exc)

Free Models

This is personally how I began scripting. Search the vast quantity of free models and look at their scripts. Try to figure out what it does and how it works... Once you've figured that out try and recreate it from memory using the same script or in your own way, see what one turns out better and progress from it.
