COMMUNITY QUESTION

My game is being exploited. What steps should I take to prevent this?

The first thing I did was turn on filtering enabled. I have guns that use this function to deal damage:

B.Touched:connect(function(hit)
	local humanoid = hit.Parent:FindFirstChild("Humanoid")
	if humanoid then
		humanoid:TakeDamage(25, 30)
	end
end)

This function no longer works. I have not tried any of my user input scripts. Are those going to be a problem?

I have no experience with remote events or remote objects. Is it hard to learn?

Can someone steal my game using these exploits? Or is this just a way to grief and make people mad?

##FilteringEnabled

This is the strongest form of defense against exploitation. However not all scripts are compatible with it. Start working on learning the information necessary about RemotEvents, RemoteFunctions, what FilteringEnabled can and cannot do and adapt to it.

##LoadStringEnabled

Make sure this is turned off. Otherwise it makes it all the more easier for the exploiters to exploit your game.

##Equip AntiExploit Scripts

You can find a few AntiExploit scripts in the Library that actually detect Godding, NoClipping, AntiGrav'ing, or other various exploits. I would also recommend Epix Incorporated Server Suite, the script is an admin commands however is equipped with multiple AntiExploit measures. You can even turn on HttpEnabled and get their Synced Ban List to ban the latest known exploiters.

##Sit it out

Not too many exploits are able to steal your game, and it's only a matter of time before ROBLOX patches the holes. Do not sweat it too much.
