Does ResetPlayerGuiOnSpawn work with Filtering?

Hi guys;

I'm trying to convert my game to use filtering and I'm almost done except for one problem; When the player dies their GUI seems to reset; despite ResetPlayerGuiOnSpawn being checked.

This is a problem for several, mostly fixable, reasons but one problem is that a Sound I call "Music" will not :Play() when called from a localscript. Without filtering; the music continues playing which is exactly how I intended it, but with filtering it refuses to Play or continue playing.

Will I just have to use Instance.new("Sound") and code it to work again?

Thanks, MD

Make sure to set ResetPlayerGuiOnSpawn to false in both a Script and a LocalScript to make sure that it behaves as intended. If it still doesn't work, you may unfortunately have to do as you'd suggested.

Hmm I tried that and my code wouldn't even change it. Now there is a checkbox on StarterGui though; which is what I was using. Sucks that I have to refresh everything manually because the sound will have to restart. :/

Make sure that it is unchecked.

Yeah it was; lots of remote events required for this :3

For the sound issue have you made sure that the Sound is somewhere in the player or somewhere local, for example have you put the sound in Starter Gui or Starter Pack and used :Play() or :Stop() methods for the Local Player? Also it may work if you change the sound within Player, so instead of declaring the Sound variable as something in Starter Gui declare it in for example Player Gui so it only calls methods to the local player. Hope this helped, and I hope Speed Run becomes popular!
