Great place to start is the roblox wiki, wiki.roblox.com. I probably picked lua up easier because I have experience with other languages but lua is a great place to start. The best way to learn, at least I've found, is really you have to just try things out on your own, and figure out how things work, if you become frustrated, post your issue on here and try again later. Only experience and knowing how to use your knowledge of code will make you better!

Depends on what you're trying to do, but I'm learning as I go. Tutorials help, and if you don't understand something people here are glad to help out!
