Does having too many gear/tools in lighting cause lag?

This will not necessarily cause much lag, it will only cause lag if they are huge tools and put high pressure on the rendering. Most people would recommend that you now store your tools in either:
a) ServerStorage (if you only want to access tools from a ServerScript)
b) ReplicatedStorage (Replicates to both the client side and server side.)

Clarification: Those tools in Lighting / ServerStorage / ReplicatedStorage don't put any pressure on rendering, since they aren't in the world.
