How do I make a fast paced round/minigame core script?

Hey scriptinghelpers, I honestly can't seem to find much help online with this. I've been looking for awhile, testing things out myself and, I'm just not seeming to have much luck. It's frustrating me so I thought I might as well ask the question. I'm not looking for someone to write the code for me, I'm just looking for help (a place to start really cause, I'm lost). I'm looking for tutorials, links, etc. My idea is for a minigame as in singular game. I would consider this to be my next major step in the world of scripting and, I could really use some advice/help! I guess below I'll put a list of stuff I'm looking to learn how to do.

-Lobby intermission -Teleport to map -Round and time -Repeat
