When playing a game I'd like to be able to tell if during a transition I was teleported to a different position within the same place or a different place.

Is there a way to tell what Place you are in within the Game while playing it?

Not the question for this website, unless it's for your own project. There's no reason to have this kind of a script for anything but malicious purposes, and you'd need to use exploits. May I ask why you want to know your position / area?

It is for my own project, I'm curious how other game's teleports work. If I see a transition that is seamless and I'm teleporting between places during this time, I'd like to figure out how they did that. I noticed when teleporting in my game the Roblox icon in the top left disappears and reappears once in the next place. Does this hold true for all games?
