When I use my custom character on my game and use an item from the inventory I get tp'd somewhere

Make sure there arent welds in the tool and if there arent any put it in workspace and delete all welds

make sure that your tool’s actual model isn’t in the baseplate

Is the tool anchored?
no
If any of the parts in the tool are anchored, unanchor them. If they aren't, then the tool is to blame.
